Sheila Emon is a dedicated member of our municipal team and an active member of our community. As our Special Projects Coordinator and Municipal Librarian, she brings her commitment to community service and volunteerism to the Library and beyond.
An avid volunteer, Sheila generously dedicates her time to numerous municipal events and local initiatives. She is also actively involved with the Bethany Hall Committee, supporting our local Community Centre and helping bring activities and events to life.
Her continued dedication, volunteerism, and commitment to our community are greatly appreciated.

The Municipality of Alleyn and Cawood is proud to offer its residents one of the region’s outstanding municipal libraries, recognized not only within the Pontiac but throughout the Outaouais.
Over the years, the Alleyn and Cawood Municipal Library has been repeatedly recognized by Réseau BIBLIO de l’Outaouais, receiving the Library of the Year Award on several occasions in the category for municipalities with a population of 800 or fewer residents.
In 2023, the Municipal Library was once again honoured by Réseau BIBLIO de l’Outaouais, receiving the Méritas 2023 Award in recognition of its achievements and continued contribution to the community.
These distinctions reflect the dedication of our Library team and its ongoing commitment to providing residents with welcoming, accessible, and high-quality library services.
Thanks to the Réseau BIBLIO de l’Outaouais and a variety of regional and local partnerships, residents can use their library card to borrow Museum Privilege Cards from our Municipal Library. These cards provide free admission to participating museums and attractions throughout the region.
Each Museum Privilege Card is valid for at least one (1) person and allows cardholders to discover - or rediscover - one of the following participating museums and attractions free of charge:

In the event of the loss of a Museum Privilege Card, a replacement fee of $25 will apply.
Ziggy and Singing Insects
The Ziggy kit introduces children aged 6 to 10 to the mysteries of programming. It's interactive, stimulating and allows youngsters to plunge into the fascinating world of sound, movement, natural sciences and technology.
The Ziggy kit is available in all libraries belonging to the Réseau BIBLIO de l'Outaouais.

2024 Library Grand Reopening!
The Municipality of Alleyn and Cawood was proud to announce the grand reopening of our Municipal Library following the completion of its renovations. After months of dedication and hard work from our wonderful team, the newly renovated Library was ready to welcome the community once again.
